Indications | An antioxidant for the maintenance of good health:
Vitamin E stops the production of reactive oxygen species ROS formed when fat undergoes oxidation for obtaining energy from food, and antioxidants might protect cells from the damaging effects of ROS. The body is also exposed to free radicals from environmental exposures, such as cigarette smoke, air pollution, and ultraviolet radiation from the sun. Vitamin E also might help prevent or delay the chronic diseases associated with free radicals such as heart disease, cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, diabetes related heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis. Helps to prevent vitamin E deficiency: Supplementation with vitamin E may be necessary in people who have digestive disorders, including chronic bowel disease, or those who have undergone gastrointestinal surgeries since their systems are less able to absorb fat-soluble vitamins. |
